Hello everyone today I'll show you, how you can disable Windows automatic update.
Here I'm showing you two different methods, which you can apply to disable windows automatic update.
The first method is using Services:
Step 1: Open Start. Search for services and select the top result to launch the Services.
Step 2: Now, find Windows Updates, double click on it.
Step 3: In the pop-up window, change the Startup type to Disabled. Then change the Service status to Stop.
Step 4: Now, click on Apply and OK.
Now you can see your Windows Automatic Update is disabled.
The second method is using Registry:
Step 1: Open Start. Search for gpedit.msc and select the top result to launch the Group Policy Editor
Step 2: Navigate the following path:
Computer Configuration\Administrative Templates\Windows Components\Windows Update
Step 3: Now, double-click the Configure Automatic Update policy on the right side.
Step 4: Click the Disabled option to turn off the policy.
Step 5: Now click on Apply and OK.
Once you complete the steps, Windows will stop downloading updates automatically.
